Weekend warrior.

I finished Goblet of Fire! Now on to Order of the Phoenix.

I started eating breakfast again; Grape Nuts with almond milk & raspberries. Mm.
Thursday I got my bike fixed and was back to pounding the pavement.

Then that evening was Black Keys at Gallivan. Seth got wise and figured out that the parking garage across the street has a perfect view and great sound without the noise of thousands of people, plus the added benefit of drinking your own beer and not paying $5 a cup. So we watched from afar with 40 or so other friends and had an amazing time. One friend was kind enough to give me his binoculars so I could stare at Dan Auerbach's face the whole time, and stare I did. I sang and danced and it was fantastic
We heckled everyone on the street

Seth, Ryan & Can-Dice
Friday it was 102 degrees

Finally painted my living room on Saturday! We had to start at 9 AM before it was too hot, epic failed at that because we each almost passed out twice

Saturday night consisted of lots of alcohol, walking, new friends, mustaches, new bars, & heat.

Can-Dice!

The Twilight Lounge's bathroom felt like a maze
I woke up early today and went swimming and layed out in the sun all day. I caved and bought an air conditioner yesterday and today my dad installed it for me. It works like fucking magic and I cannot wait to sleep in a cool room tonight. I'm going over to Cynthia's to hang out and get my bangs trimmed and then going home and flopping on the couch. Phew.

Remember how I was whining about not being able to find suitable furniture? The interior design gods heard my plea and took mercy on my poor soul. The next day I found these two couches that are absolutely perfect. They're super comfy, huge and I love them. Glory glory hallelujah. I went to Ikea and bought the huge Expedit bookshelf you can see in the back. I also bought paint and next weekend my living room will be strathclyde grey I'm so excited for everything to be finished.

I figured out the holy grail of vegan macaroni and cheese recipes made with Tofutti singles and have been eating it everyday. It seriously blew my mind.

I complained at work about being too bored. For three weeks I only worked a full 8 hours a handfull of times because I had no motivation to stay. Now I have new projects that require Excel wizardry and I have to read an Excel book so I know what the hell I'm doing. I'm excited about this, too.

I've had some gnarly mood swings lately and I would like to give special notice of Levi's ability to deal with it. Thank you and I love you. I'll chalk the moodiness up to the fact that I have hardly been eating anything lately (holy grail of mac n cheeze aside). Estrogen is a real bitch.

Bake & destroy

Sias commissioned me to bake 5 dozen cupcakes for Grudge City Activities' one year anniversary show tonight. I'm pleased with how they turned out and I think the hardcore community of Salt Lake shall agree. I won't be going to the show because I'm going to see Bon Iver and Jenny Lewis at the Gallivan for the kick off of smash n' mash Thursdays.

Trying to decorate an apartment from the ground up is exhausting. I'll never find furniture I'm happy with. Interior design gods, please grant me a clear head to slay the empty apartment beast that is plaguing me. Amen.

Is it September yet? I miss my boyfriend.

Long weekend.

Pub and bike rides, major score at the thrift store, reading in Liberty Park all day, Bayou with Melissa for hours, 4th of July was hot hot hot & I ate a lot.

Hope everyone had a better holiday than I did. Next weekend is camping in Strawberry and that will definitely make up for the lack of spice the 4th had to offer this year.
