Thanks for coming everyone! There was barely room for all of us in my teeny house, but it was a blast nonetheless. I made everyone save their seeds and spent the next day roasting them in some olive oil and sea salt. Party success.

October is my favorite month of the year and it just so happens that it is also home to my favorite holiday as well. The weather, smells, and sights of fall just can't be matched and nothing beats feeling like a kid again and having the chance to dress up like anything you want (without looking like a lunatic) for one night (or several). It's been nonstop scary movies, vegan candy corn and pumpkin lattes for this lady.

This Friday I'll be hosting a pumpkin carving party for the second year in a row. My entire house has been decorated floor to ceiling and I've been planning the menu for about two weeks now. Allie and I went to pick out our pumpkins last night and I found two perfect ones. The spook jams and scary movies are ready and mostly everything is in place. I cannot wait!

I've also been agonizing over my costume for about a month now. My original idea of Carmen Sandiego wasn't working out and I ended up going with a choice that's going to be much more badass, anyway. How badass you say?
